Way back almost 90 years ago in the town of Batangas, Ibaan, a young angel came and blessed the parents Rodrigo Baes Robles and Maria de Torres Robles.  A promising child that eventually called on duty that changed not only her life but to her parents too.  She’s the eldest child.  In Fatima, Portugal, a boy named Francisco witnessed the presence of Our Lady, nevertheless our very own little girl Francisca (de Torres Robles) too is not an exemption to witness in her own heart.  On November 21, 1949, Francisca entered in Carmelite Monastery in Cebu, Philippines.   She submitted herself to the religious devotion and a perpetual vow that later changed her name to Sister Mary Helen of the Divine Infant.  Francisca was born in Ibaan on January 29, 1923 and is the only sister of Sixta Robles dela Vega, a retired teacher in Ibaan Central Elementary School.  Surely one of the reasons why our town is so blessed is mainly because of one person though she’s in different island but her spirit and much love stays in Ibaan.  We are very proud of you Sister Mary Helen.

-Thanks to Cynthia Dela Vega.
